Giannis Antetokounmpo Teams Up With Nike To Celebrate 50 Years Of UNO_Fashion at Your Feet

Whether an avid player of card games or a newcomer, it’s likely you’ve participated in at least one round of UNO. Colorful, fast-paced, and quick to create rivalries, the classic Mattel property has stood the test of 50 years. And to celebrate, the brand is joining forces with Nike as well as 2019-20 NBA MVP and outspoken fan Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“I want every product to be genuine and authentic, and playing UNO with my brothers is a big part of our lives,” Antetokounmpo stated. “The Nike team has done a great job bringing my ideas to life, and I think they’ve created something for every Nike, UNO and basketball fan in this collection.”

The footwear line is undoubtedly a labor of love, replete with references to the game itself. Its iconic hits of red, blue, green, yellow, and black are used throughout, echoed across the Air Force 1, the Offline Mule, and multiple Zoom Freak 3s. Additionally, the pack offers a special members-only version of Giannis’s signature shoe that features a black color scheme, 50th anniversary logos, and wild cards. Many of these motifs are also mirrored on the accompanying T-Shirts and hats.

For exclusive release through Mattel Creations and NTWRK, the team will debut a brand new Giannis-branded deck. This, alongside the updated look, will introduce a new rule — “force a turnover” — which allows players to steal an extra discard.
